Rocco & Rose Interior Design Store - Dorset
This shoot was for a newly launched interior home furnishing business based in Dorset, here’s a little bit about them from their own website.
‘Rocco & Rose was established by husband and wife team Robyne and Andrew Irish who are based in the stunning Dorset location of Lyme Bay. The Interior Designer and Property Developer have drawn on passion and knowledge of the interior world to source unique and beautiful pieces for your home.’
The brief was to capture a variety of images of products for their website and promotional material. The main shooting location was in an old cow shed with very rustic features that really set the scene for some natural light style images.
If you look at the first image you can get a feel for the location, there was only one light source from the large window which produced a very soft one directional light which is perfect for this style of shooting. I used a myriad of different light reflectors, diffusers and scrims to help mould the light to create a very atmospheric ‘arty’ look. This kind of lighting with some very slight fill flash creates interesting textures and deep shadows. I was very pleased with the results.
It was a very relaxed day where I was able to take as much time as needed, thank you both for all the sandwiches and cake throughout the day.
